Best Bacon Bloody Mary Recipe

Bacon bloody mary recipe at Bensa International

If you tried the bacon vodka recipe we posted last month, you’re probably ready to make some out-of-this-world fantastic Bloody Marys. Here’s the kitchen-tested, Bensa-approved recipe:

Ultimate Bensa Bacon Bloody Marys

  • 6 cups tomato juice
  • 6 ounces bacon vodka
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 6 dashes hot sauce like Frank’s
  • 6 strips thick bacon, crisply cooked and drained
  • celery sticks and pimento-stuffed green olives for garnish
In a large pitcher, combine the tomato juice, bacon vodka, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, celery salt and hot sauce and stir to blend. Fill six glasses with ice and stir the bloody mary mixture over. Garnish with bacon strips, celery sticks and olives. 6 servings.

Or you can make small bacon Bloody Marys in shot glasses for your next party, like these petite offerings from BaconFest Chicago 2012:

To make your own lemon salt for rimming the glasses, combine the zest from 3 lemons and 1/2 cup salt. Pulse the mixture together in a food processor, and then spread it on a cookie sheet. Dry the salt blend in the oven at 175 for 45 minutes, and store in a air tight container. Makes 1/2 cup.
